If you were to head on over to Google and do a web-search for work for home opportunities, you would find a myriad companies which claim that you can make a substantial amount of money working from home by signing up for their system or getting their work from home directory. Unfortunately, almost all of these ‘opportunities’ are either rip-offs or outright scams.

This makes it very difficult for stay-at-home moms and other individuals who would like to find a legitimate means to make some supplementary income from their home. Fortunately, there are some legitimate opportunities to fill positions where the location of the worker does not matter for people who would like to be able to work from home for whatever reason.

Many companies are outsourcing their database work and customer service work to individuals working out of their homes because it saves a substantial amount of overhead in facilities and equipment. Here are some legitimate work at home opportunities

AlpineAccess.com – This is a virtual call center in which you will be taking customer service calls from your home. Unlike many other companies, you will actually be an employee rather than an independent contractor. The company will even pay to train you and offers a number of benefits for their full-time at-home employees.

IntelliCare – This is a company that provides phone services for the health industry. They take customer service calls for services such as health plans, healthcare providers, and care managers. If you have any sort of background in medicine, you would that the opportunity to provide clinical customer service calls which could potentially mean a much higher rate of pay.

MSVAS.com – If you’re the spouse of a member of the military, chances are it’s hard for you to find a steady and regular income when moving from base to base, often in remote areas. The Military Spouse Virtual Assistance program helps military spouses find legitimate virtual business arrangements so that they can provide an income without being at one specific location.

LiveOps.com – This is one of the larger virtual call centers around. There is a $30 registration fee for a background check, but the company is legitimate. You’ll be able to make anywhere from $6.00 to $15.00 per hour while being a LiveOps customer service agent.

These are not the only legitimate work-at-home opportunities that exist, however the vast majority of what you’ll find on a Google search are rip-offs. And never pay an up-front fee when dealing with a work-at-home opportunity. You’re trying to make money, not spend it!

o Everyone could use some extra money to help out with their home mortgage. People across the country are refinancing their home loans because they can no longer afford them. Get back on track with your finances and find some better mortgage rates.
